BBC Bitesize Careers Roadshow

This week our students were privileged to take part in the BBC Bitesize Careers Roadshow and what an experience they had to help consider their own career pathways. 

With the BBC's effervescent Radio Presenter and DJ interviewing three excellent panellists from a wide variety of careers including a Project Manager at Gymshark, a Development Manager in Landscape Recovery with the Forestry Commission to a Technical Operator with the BBC, students found out all about their individual career pathways in a really insightful way. 

Hearing from the panel about their routes into their careers, the subjects they took at school, through further and higher education as well as the soft skills such as resilience, teamwork and communication skills that they need in their roles was so beneficial. 

Students loved having the opportunity to ask the panel questions and impressed the guests with their depth of questioning.  It was wonderful to hear the  buzz around school following this event with students discussing careers with their peers.
