Technology is moving at a fast pace and it can be difficult to know what your child is doing online, and how they are using their phones, laptops, computers and the internet.
Therefore we have made this dedicated area for parents so they are aware of the potential risks children face online.

 

Safety Net

Safety Net is developed in collaboration with Home Office Prevent and West Midlands Police and Crime Commission to provide essential information on how to keep your children safe online. More information and useful guides can be found on

Internet matters

Keeping Children Safe Online: Information, Advice, Support. The ABC online safety checklist and other useful resources such as setting up devices safely, choosing age appropriate apps and tips on talking to young people about online safety.

Internet Watch Foundation

The Internet Watch Foundation provides online safety advice and guidance for parents/carers and young people on a variety of topics including sextortion and how to prevent young people from being contacted in their own homes on the internet and asked for sexual pictures and videos.
